>The Weekend is Here!

>

This post is for a good friend of mine, Lisa.  She loves Graphic 45, 7gypsies and Tim Holtz products, so I thought that for her birthday I would post a picture of what we would be doing to celebrate her day.

Since Lisa loves Steampunk I thought that perhaps we could do “Thoughts”.   It is an IKEA frame, altered just a little bit, and filled with lots of gadgets and gears and of course Tim Holtz hardware.  I had a lot of fun creating this shadowbox.

If we have time,  maybe we can do a Tim Holtz Configurations Box.  I created this configuration using Graphic 45 Le Cirque papers.  I still have to find a lot of stuff to put in it;  circus trinkets are hard to come by.  I  see flea markets and antique shops in my future! The pictures did not come out very clear but the center box is a stamp from Stampers Anonymous “damn everything but the circus”.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!

  1. >These are both stunning pieces! It's my birthday on Tuesday: Think I'll have to have an arty day – Can't think of anything better than creating something like this! Hope you both enjoy Lisa's day.

  2. >These are both terrific projects! It's amazing the different looks you can get with boxes. I really love the way you draped the curtain over the top of the circus box… neat touch!

  3. >Hello Sue,

I like what you created !

I love the steampunkframe : I like the embellishments you used and the depth you created in the shadowbox.

The configurationbox from the circus is also something that really pleases my eyes ! I like it that you turned it landscape, the border on top, the clown on the left. It's nice to see already, but with a little trinkets here and there it will be complete !

Thanks for showing these on your blog ! You inspired me 🙂

    greetings from belgium
